We spend a lot of time talking about opportunity within nonprofit organizations, but assessing and candidly discussing both the association’s culture in terms of risk taking, as well as reviewing the elements of risk associated with the affiliated industry or profession, is an invaluable exercise. As a result of this workshop, our senior leadership team engaged in meaningful and immediately relevant conversations that will shape how we evaluate both existing and new partnerships, programs, and resources.

Thanks so much for the whitepaper – excited to share this back home! The content of presentation was really interesting and gave me good, concrete information and action items. Elizabeth had great energy. She was a very good presenter, with a relaxed, engaging style.

This was the most helpful session at the conference for those looking to switch to a new AMS/CRM system. The concept of three very different associations discussing the path they took in implementation was exactly what I came to the conference for, and would like to see more like this next year.

The Risk and Strategic Decision Making session was a valuable use of time and resources, exceeding expectations! The presenters delivered a session packed with information, which included leading us through a series of team activities, enabling us to delve further into our processes and how we manage risk. Our team collectively learned a lot, including that risk has many opportunities and by knowing the risk appetite of every player on the team/department, the organization can seize the opportunity leading to growth and success. Highly recommend this session for the senior staff of associations!

The best part of working with Spark was: “You get it! I didn’t have to go through multiple iterations just to get you to understand our organization and talking points.”

I first met Elizabeth when she was engaged by NACHRI (the former name of the Children’s Hospital Association) as part of a three person consulting team to review our IT processes in the summer of 2007. We were immediately impressed with Elizabeth’s communication skills, her understanding of our needs and environment, and her ability to synthesize issues and provide constructive feedback. She brought both insight and professionalism to the project, and produced a report with actionable recommendations that made a measurable impact.

Perhaps most important to me, Elizabeth has always demonstrated a strong and consistent level of ethics that produce a deep trust in her professional judgment and her word. She consistently produces excellent results and is flexible in her ability to adapt and change course as needed to meet the needs of those she serves.
